Brampton Guardian – NXNE Festival

Brampton musician/comedian Dan Thiel spent years trying to get a spot in the NXNE (North by North East) Festival as a musician— to no avail. So, it’s kind of funny that his first year applying for a gig as a comedian, he got in. And, it’s no small feat, either. Thousands of comics apply for a 10-minute spot in the annual festival, and this year, around 160 were chosen from across the nation.
